Memorial Day Wknd...finally

I'm finally able to sit down for a few minutes and post a few pictures from our Memorial Day weekend.

The first night there J, L, Great Nanny, and I went out to a local park for a picnic and to play a while. Mr. J. had great fun running around trying out all the "rides".

That elephant must have been fun as J planted a kiss on his head.

L had a wonderful time playing with Great Nanny.

Sweetness...those hands are 91 years and 10 days apart - and nothing but pure love in that touch.

L gets lost of kisses from Great Nanny.

Sunday afternoon we went out to the lake by my parents house to take a few pictures...

4 Generations of H. ladies

Papa and J had a good time exploring while we were taking pics...though J looks mighty serious here!

It was a long day...Papa and J sacked out on the couch. This cracks me up as they're both in the same position.

My beautiful 91 yo Grandmother.

Oh the things those hands have done...from waving goodbye to her husband he as left to fight in WW2, to raising 4 children, to holding her husband as he lay dying after 60+ years of marriage. And a countless number of hours spent folded in prayer for others.

More sweet kisses for L

Monday afternoon Mom and I took Nanny up to my cousin Alison's house so she could fly back to GA with Aunt Becky & Uncle Tony.

Nanny with her 4 TX Great-Granddaughters
Allie, Kayleen, Lia, Caroline

All the girls having fun.

Allie liked NOT being the baby for once!

Nanny with 2 of her daughters - Becky & Jan

All in all it was a great weekend...we stayed until Tuesday and Jacob spent most of his time in the truck or on the tractor with Papa...they're best buddies!

Love seeing love and faith being passed from generation to generation...that Jacob and Lia are lucky kiddo's to have such a heritage!
