Hot Springs, AR

Last weekend the kids and I got to spend time in Hot Springs with our friends Shauna & Jay and their kids. Unfortunately David couldn't go as he was sick, but the three of us had a great time. We "camped" at a KOA (I'm using the term camping lightly here!) for the weekend. Most of the day Saturday was spent at Magic Springs. Jacob started out being totally overwhelmed by all the activity and people, but by the end of the day he was cool as a cucumber and keeping up with the "big boys". Later in the evening we enjoyed hamburgers & hot dogs and play time at the playground. The grand finale was s'mores. ;) Sunday was meeting in the morning then back to the campgrounds to pack up and say "see ya later". All in all it was a great weekend and we hope to do it again.

Lane taking J by the hand...he's a first born and definitely has that spirit about him...always trying to take care of the "little" kids. That and telling them how things should go...like who will ride with whom and which cars they will ride in etc. (I mean this with all due respect...J is the same way...fiercely protective of his little sister, but isn't afraid to TRY to be boss!)

Jay starting the fire for s'mores as all the boys look on...they can't wait to start roasting their marshmallows. At this point Jay just wants to get the fire started so he could go to bed...he was sick too. :( Isn't that a handsome group of little boys...girls you better watch out.
