The Company We Keep

I am slowly getting my feet back into the blogging world - I've missed blogging but just haven't had the time to do it lately.  Since this is kind of my "online journal" I'm going back to the beginning of December.  Eventually I'll get caught up to present day - until then it'll be fun for me to relive some of the fun times we've had over the past few weeks.

The first week of December David's Uncle Derald and Aunt Nita came to visit.  The fun we did have!  Derald and Nita can light up a place unlike any others I've ever known.  What a privilege to have them for a few days.

Nita entertains Jacob by telling him this story about a little baby bear.  It was quite the story.  You can see Lia's little face in the background - she wanted in on the action too!

"Uncle Derald, can you believe she just got me a little bit wet!"

I just LOVE the expression on Derald and Jacob's faces - pretty much sums up what kind of a time we had.  I can feel the laughter and love oozing out of this picture.

"Back at ya' Aunt Nita!"

This is how we felt when they left - I wanted to scream like Lia that they could NOT leave, and David was more like Jacob, just calm, cool, and collected.

Thanks for coming Uncle Derald and Aunt Nita - you lit up our home with love and laughter!  We love you VERY much and can't wait for you to come back!

I love how you did b&w and then the last picture in color. It was a neat effect. So much warmth in your pictures! They bring a smile to my face.
